The general fit of all styles within the Atlantic family is a medium fit but with a little extra room. When selecting any of the styles whether the Trench or the Short select your normal size and that should allow you to wear a nice cosy jumper and fit right. As all coats come with two different sized sleeve tabs so you can adjust the length to fit. Make sure to look through the information received with your coat to show you how.

The only exception to this is the Atlantic Light. For this coat it is one size only. This coat looks as good super large as it does smaller and again due to the sleeves its very flexible. We will make sure to give you lots of different examples of different sized people in these hoodies so you can get an idea of what it would be like on you.

For our bags, so far we only sell the Devon 3 berth. This bag is a generously sized draw string and Josh is around 5 foot 10.

As a guide to the family here are the dimensions for our best selling Atlantic Trench.

We think a great way for you to select the right size coat, is to compare and contrast against a garment you already own and that you know fits you well. Below you will find illustrations of each size making it a little easier to get the right one for you. A couple of good things to note when buying the Atlantic trench, is that the shoulder and chest measurements are the key to selecting the right size. The coat has a gentle swing and the sleeves a generous fit, this is critical to giving you enough movement in this raglan style. All of the Atlantic family coats come with two sized detachable length sleeve straps, so whether you're tall and rangy or a more compact build, the sleeves should fit nicely. And last but not least, we’d advise you not to be tempted to buy a smaller size in order to achieve a slimmer fit through the body as this causes tension through the shoulder. Remember this style is designed to be worn in the city but also for high jinx and great adventures in the countryside too!
